Christmas wishes
It looks as if there might finally be a let-up in the rain over Christmas (thank goodness, or else we’d be under water). That means we can look forward to walking in some winter sunshine or standing outside and looking at the stars.
I’d like to thank you, my readers and followers, for all your kind comments and support over the last year. Some of you have been following my blog for so long that you feel like friends. It’s so lovely to know that the pleasure Colin and I get from our explorations can be shared with people all over the world – if a blog post brightens your morning and lifts your spirits then that warms my heart and makes what I do worthwhile. For my part, and for Colin’s as well, we know that getting outdoors and exploring places is absolutely essential for our own wellbeing.
I’ve made a slideshow of our favourite photos from the last 12 months, and I hope you enjoy them. I’m looking forward to sharing new adventures next year.
With warmest wishes to you for happiness and peace over the festive season and beyond.
Jo

Thank you Jo and wishing you dry, starry sky-filled winter days also. I have been reading your blog for years and it’s time to say thank you for your beautiful sharings. I went to Glen Roy as a child on a warm April day and it was so good to remember my parents’ fascination with the parallel roads: they were wonderful at showing us the joys of the natural world.

Thank you for your lovely comment, Iona. I’m glad to hear that you enjoy my posts. What a precious childhood memory of Glen Roy, and a great gift to appreciate the natural world.

Beautiful slideshow – thank you for that, and the whole year.
