Christmas wishes

It looks as if there might finally be a let-up in the rain over Christmas (thank goodness, or else we’d be under water).   That means we can look forward to walking in some winter sunshine or standing outside and looking at the stars.

I’d like to thank you, my readers and followers, for all your kind comments and support over the last year. Some of you have been following my blog for so long that you feel like friends. It’s so lovely to know that the pleasure Colin and I get from our explorations can be shared with people all over the world – if a blog post brightens your morning and lifts your spirits then that warms my heart and makes what I do worthwhile. For my part, and for Colin’s as well, we know that getting outdoors and exploring places is absolutely essential for our own wellbeing.

I’ve made a slideshow of our favourite photos from the last 12 months, and I hope you enjoy them.  I’m looking forward to sharing new adventures next year.

With warmest wishes to you for happiness and peace over the festive season and beyond.

Jo

Thank you Jo and wishing you dry, starry sky-filled winter days also. I have been reading your blog for years and it’s time to say thank you for your beautiful sharings. I went to Glen Roy as a child on a warm April day and it was so good to remember my parents’ fascination with the parallel roads: they were wonderful at showing us the joys of the natural world.

Want to swap your rain for our 40c heat today and Christmas Day in Western Australia Jo?
Thanks for all your intriguing and interesting articles and good to see Colin getting a bit of facial publicity. Looking forward to next year’s adventures.

Ah, Bob, it’s true what they say – be careful what you wish for! No, I’d not be happy in 40 degree heat! Haha, I like that pic of Colin too! He was so happy to find those primulas. I’m looking forward to next year’s adventures as well and thank you for all your comments and interesting snippets and links.

Thank you for this, Gavin – I’ve come across W H Murray but I’ve not read the West Highlands of Scotland so I’ll definitely look for a copy. I’m so glad you find my posts a relaxing diversion. It is the same for me when writing them. With very best wishes, Jo
